Gurmehar Singh Dhillon established the Educational Society in 2015 at VPO Badal in the Punjabi district of Sri Muktsar Sahib. Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana, is associated with Baba Hira Das Ji College of Veterinary Pharmacy (BHDJCVP). The university admits students to its A.H.Tech and Dip.V.Sc. programs. A constituent college of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana, BHDJCVP was founded in 2015 to provide education leading to a diploma in veterinary science and animal health technology to assist veterinary services through qualified para-veterinary employees. To provide students with hands-on training, the institute maintains its own well-developed cattle farm with 10 cows, a pig farm with 250 piglets, and a sheep and goat farm with 10 goats and sheep. The institute also includes a nice hostel that is fully equipped with modern amenities including a gym, a playground, and other spaces. The Diploma in Veterinary Science and Animal Health Technology is intended to prepare future para-veterinary professionals. After completing the diploma program, trainees will be able to coordinate care for domesticated animals in veterinary clinics, veterinary colleges, research and training facilities, cooperative sector organizations, and other settings while working under the supervision of registered veterinary practitioners. After completing their studies, the majority of students were hired by the Department of Animal Husbandry, the Cooperative Sector, GADVASU, and several Non-Governmental Organisations.
