There were 352 women and 664 men in this group, with 10 women and 15 men in the top 25. applicants in the EWS category must score 923, OBC applicants must score 919, SC candidates must score 890, ST candidates must score 891, PwBD-1 candidates must score 894, PwBD-2 candidates must score 930, PwBD-3 candidates must score 756, and PwBD-5 candidates must score 589.
Interestingly, two of the top five contenders are women, while three of them are men. The test was designed to fill 1,143 positions in different departments. Additional candidates ranked by merit who come after those in the main list are now included in a newly issued reserve list.
The UPSC CSE exam is administered in three stages: preliminary, main, and personality test. Its purpose is to choose officers for Grade A and B positions in the central government and its ministries, including Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and Indian Police Service (IPS).
