"Chhattisgarh Announces 46% Salary Hike for Medical Educators in Scheduled Areas"

The Chhattisgarh government has made a historic decision by announcing a large pay increase for medical educators working at government colleges, which will take effect on September 1, 2024. The project, spearheaded by Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal and Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, aims to enhance the calibre of medical education and healthcare services throughout the state.

Professors in non-scheduled areas would receive an increase in salary from Rs 1.55 lakh to Rs 1.90 lakh under this amended pay structure, while professors in scheduled areas will receive an increase from Rs 1.90 lakh to Rs 2.25 lakh. Associate professors, assistant professors, and senior residents will also be affected by this rise, which will raise scheduled areas by 46% and non-scheduled regions by 23%.

By bringing in and keeping talented teachers to the state's medical facilities, the government is demonstrating its dedication to bolstering the healthcare system.
