JNVST 2025 Class 6 Enrolment: Navidaya.gov.in is where registration starts

Admission to JNVST 2025: The exam will take two hours altogether, with three sections and 80 questions totalling a maximum of 100 marks.

On July 17, the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) 2025 registration has opened, according to the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS). Interested and qualified candidates can register on the official website, navodaya.gov.in, for admission to Class 6 at the Navodaya Vidyalaya for the academic session 2025-2026.

The JNVST 2025 admission application form will be available to candidates until September 16. Students can only apply once, so if they have already applied for admission the previous year, their candidature will be rejected.

The exam will be administered in two phases, the first on January 18, 2025, at 11.30 am, and the second on April 12, 2025, at 11.30 am, according to the official prospectus.

 

JNVST 2025 Admission: Qualifications

- The candidates need to have been born within the inclusive dates of May 1, 2013, and July 31, 2015.

- The candidates for admission must not be repeating a class, meaning they must not have passed class 6 prior to the 2024-2025 academic year.

 

Eligibility for candidates in rural areas

- Candidates from rural areas are eligible for 75 percent of the district seat, with the remaining 25 percent being open to candidates from both rural and urban areas.

- In order to be eligible for admission under the rural quota, students must have completed classes 3, 4, and 5.

- Candidates submitting an application under the rural quota must have graduated from a government or accredited rural school after completing grades 3, 4, and 5.

- In order to be considered for admission to JNVST class 6, students must have completed their Class 5 in the same district.

- Students enrolled in National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) must present their certificate of rural status, given by the relevant local authority, attesting to a minimum of three years of residency and schooling in the area.

 

Eligibility of urban candidates

In classes 3, 4, and 5, students who attended school in an urban region, even for a single day, will be given preference as urban candidates.
